Welcome to the Gulf Beaches of Tampa Bay

Restaurants

Florida's Gulf Beaches come very close to being all things to all people. Whether you're looking for a hot dog at a baseball game or a seven course dinner at a five-star restaurant, you can find it here. Enjoy an 'All-American' hamburger, High Tea and everything in between; fresh seafood, Caribbean cuisine, fast food or buffet-style. Everything to accommodate your taste.

Here are a few of my favourites:

American Diner, St. Pete Beach with the giant cup of coffee. (Just down from the Dolphin Shopping Village on the opposite side). A typical American diner complete with Juke Box and you can usually find the local 'cops' dining there for added authenticity. Great for breakfasts, but my favourite has to be the Belgian Waffle with maple syrup ...but not every morning!

Brewmasters, Indian Rocks. Great for steak, ribs and seafood. Order a glass of beer or wine and get free refills while you are dining.

Don CeSar, St. Pete Beach. If you can drag yourself away from the sunshine their Sunday Brunch is excellent!

Filthy Phil's, St. Pete Beach. Very casual dining - the fish and chips (served in a bucket) are fresh, delicious and could easily be shared between two people.

Holiday Inn, St. Pete Beach. The revolving roof-top lounge - great for cocktails and get a great view at the same time.

Hurricanes, Pass-A-Grille, St. Pete Beach - renowned for their grouper sandwich!

Internet Outpost Cafe, St. Pete Beach. Handy if you want to access your emails while on holiday - make it worthwhile and have a coffee and giant fudge brownie at the same time.

Kinjo's Japanese Restaurant, St. Petersburg. Decor and food, especially Shrimp Tempura ......excellent!

Leverocks, Corey Ave, St. Pete Beach & Madeira Beach. Their clam chowder and key lime pie are the best I've tasted.

Outback Steakhouse, Park Street, St. Petersburg. The ribs are the best I've tasted and are served with a yummy apple cinnamon sauce, quite unlike any I've tasted (wish I had the recipe!).

Sam Selzer's, beside Tyrone Shopping Mall, St. Petersburg - Great food and surroundings - home of the 32 oz steak, not that I've tried it.

Shell's, St. Pete Beach and Redington Shores - great for fresh seafood. Try the blackened salmon or local fish and Maine lobsters.... delicious!

Wine Cellar Restaurant, Redington Beach. If you fancy a change from the more casual dining and want a candle-lit dinner this is the place.

Your recommendations:

There is always 'Scullys' @ St John's Pass. Grest seafood, eat looking over the boardwalk towards the pass. Brilliant. can't wait to return. .Tony

There are a couple of restaurants that we would recommend and they are both quite close. These are Leatherbacks Steakhouse which is close to where Leverocks used to be and Conch Republic which is on Gulf Boulevard at Reddington Beach. John C.
